A side event to the COP10 of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) dealing with the Mountain Biodiversity will be organized in Nagoya (Japon) the 27th October. High representatives of different mountaineous regions allaround the world will discuss the strategies for development of mountain regions, in view of the new challenges - especially the climate change, loss of biodiversity, natural hazards and landscape fragmentation.
